The Full Bouquet

Ashley & Nathan - Whitehall Manor - Loudoun Weddings

On May 7th of last year Ashley and Nathan married at Whitehall Manor in Loudoun County.  The day was totally blessed with not only a lovely couple but a host of amazing vendors. Lisa Schulz of the Posh Planner did the styling and planning, Bob Updegrove was the photographer, Whitehall Manor provided the catering and the surrounding beauty and I, Holly Heider Chapple, provided the flowers.

The bride carried an all hot pink bouquet of peony, roses, ranunculus, spray roses, and orchids. The accent color of the day was black so we added black florets and black feathers to the design.

The aisle was lined with hot pink petals and hot pink pomander's.

Centerpieces were hot pink carnation balls elevated on glass pilsner vases.

I love this picture of the very tired flower girl...

but the ring bearer is wide awake.

This was a happy and wonderful wedding to work on.

ALISON & MATT - THE MERIDIAN HOUSE

Last May I designed the flowers for Alison and Matt's big wedding at the Meridian House. Alison was one of the easiest brides I have ever worked with.  Alison knew exactly what she wanted and I happened to be one of the things she wanted. Alison found me through the Washingtonian's best of list but my blog happened to be one of the very reasons she booked me. In fact Alison booked and deposited Holly Heider Chapple Flowers without a consultation. My blog gave her the inside look to what we do here, and she loved what she saw. 

Alison is one of the most beautiful brides I have ever seen. Every detail was so perfect. I remember standing in the courtyard of the Meridian House watching photographer Matt Mendelsohn get these shots and thinking WOW, like really, she is the quintessential elegant bride.

Alison chose a bridal bouquet of white peony, pink peony, lily of the valley and white ranunculus. The maids carried hot pink ranunculus, green hypericum berry and light and pink peony. Every blossom was chosen by my amazing bride.

The rooms of the Meridian House simply glowed. Elevated designs were created with white dendrobium orchids.

Low centerpieces were designed with white peony, green viburnum, mini green hydrangea, and white stock. The mantels were designed with clusters of peonies, and candlelight.

SARAH WHITEHALL MANOR- LOUDOUN WEDDING

Happily for me my brides are sending in pictures from their weddings last year. Hallelujah because I love, love, love, having pictures of my work. Especially this time of year as I am looking through my pictures with client after client. Thanks to photographer Len Spoden for capturing Sarah and Jason's Whitehall Manor wedding, this past June. Loudoun weddings are always amazing this time of year.

The brides bouquet was created with pink peony, pale pink sophie roses, candy bianca roses and antique green hydrangea.

Maids carried bouquets of white carnations, white hydrangea from my garden, dusty miller, green hypericum berry, white phlox, and white limonium.

Small jars of honey were given to guests as favors.

Half of the centerpieces were designed on vintage glass cake plates. We used snapdragons, ferns, peony, spray roses, roses, larkspur, berry, and fillers from my garden to create these lovely arrangements.

The other half of the centerpieces were arranged on my white iron stands. This elevated half of the centerpieces and that really made the reception room feel festive.

Happy married life Sarah and Jason. I am so glad I got to do your wedding flowers.

BEAUTIFUL MIDDLEBURG WEDDING - LARA

On Thanksgiving weekend, my bride Lara married in the town of Leesburg. The wedding reception took place at the Middleburg Community Center. This was an awesome Loudoun wedding. I am head over heels for this event, the photography, the gowns, the flowers, the couple, all perfect. Many thanks, to photographer Kate Headley for sharing her gorgeous work with us. She captured this wedding incredibly.

Lara and Steve!

Lara's amazing bouquet was created with pink mocha roses, Yves Piaget pink cabbage roses from california, pink peony, hot pink cabbage roses, spray roses, pink ranunculus, silver brunia and silver dusty miller. The bouquet was bound with grey velvet trim from Britex Fabrics in SFO.  The family rosary was added to the bouquet.

Notice how the guys have coats, but all of the pretty girls are freezing in sleeveless dresses. Why do we do this to ourselves?

Mercury glass vases were filled with all the flowers of the day. Don't let those Yves Piaget roses fool you, they look just like peonies in this picture.

These crystal candle holders are new inventory that we actually acquired from Lara. We are excited to be offering this romantic centerpiece option this year.

WINTER WEDDING "IN THE COOLER"

It seems like every time it snows we have a wedding. In spite of a foot of snow we are ready to deliver. My lovely flowers are resting "in the cooler."  The bride will carry a bridal bouquet of white cabbage roses, pine cones, pods, cedar, magnolia, dusty miller, and white ranunculus. The bouquet is absolutely delicious and it is the perfect winter bouquet.

Half of the centerpieces were designed in my birch vases. The vases were carved by my husband Evan. The other half of the centerpieces are huge mounds of evergreen, roses, pine cones and fillers.  The pictures I took are so horrible I was unable to post them.

Maids will carry bouquets of gold combo roses, dusty miller, seeded euc, pine cones, and cedar. The bouquets were bound with gold satin ribbon.

The grooms bout was created with angel vine, spray roses, cedar, pine cones, and dusty miller.

We also have some sweet pink designs "in the cooler,"  it's my baby Grace's 2nd birthday. Time is flying.
